Chris Amos is an award-winning editor from New Jersey. He has worked on a wide variety of films, ranging from feature-length documentaries to comedic commercials and emotionally provocative narrative shorts.
He won a Webby, D&AD, and several AICP awards for editing “Make It” for Squarespace, directed by Spike Jonze. His work on the branded documentary “Dear Glenn” for Yamaha garnered a Cannes Silver Lion. Other select brand clients include GMC Hummer, Samsung, Planet Fitness, Verizon, IKEA, Banner Health, Meta, Hanes, Google, Expedia, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Chris edited documentary features Songs About F—ing and Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes, which screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. His narrative work includes festival shorts “The Opportunist” (Cannes), “everything & everything & everything” (TIFF), and “Hail Mary” (Slamdance). His ear for comedic timing brought him opportunities to edit comedy specials for Bo Burnham’s Make Happy and Hannibal Buress’s Comedy Camisado on Netflix, as well as Jerrod Carmichael’s 8 on HBO.
